Buying an executive bookcase may appear to be an unnecessary expense for those who do not understand the power of presentation. However, if you understand the positive effect of proper presentation you will no doubt appreciate the importance of having executive furniture in your office. Law firms and other professional service providers have always known the impact presentation has on those visiting your office. That is why most of them invest in the most impressive pieces of furniture that always include an executive bookcase.
Unlike businesses that sell goods, those who offer services have very little to display. The information contained in client files is very likely confidential and even if it were not, it would not make a very appealing display. For the service providers, their offices are the equivalent of the store window where those selling goods display their wares. Having a well designed and presented office is therefore as good as an excellent display window. If the client is impressed, they are very likely going to buy from you.
Even when dealing with goods, most business owners operate an office where they host clients, partners and others who have interests in the business. As part of their unofficial assessment of the business, most of these parties will consider the office furniture and office appearance. Having executive cabinets and bookcases in your office will therefore be a huge plus in clinching deals with clients, suppliers, financiers, partners and even employees. An executive appearance inspires confidence and alludes to success which attracts others aspiring to the same.
Within an organization, an executive bookcase or bookshelves can be used a sign of status. New employees and clients will easily recognize the top officials within a company as per the furniture in their offices. Not only does it set the top officials apart from the rest, it also serves as a motivation for junior staff aspiring for top positions. Those who achieve the privilege of having executive furniture in their office feel appreciated for the hard work and dedication they put in.
Having an executive bookcase is also an excellent form of investment for your business. While most furniture quickly depreciates after purchase, quality executive cabinets, bookshelves and bookcases will have a much slower depreciation and in some cases they may even appreciate in value. Where the styling, design and material used are classic, there is a high possibility of the office furniture actually appreciating. In such a situation, the business will have made a very prudent investment in an asset that can be easily disposed when there is need for some fast cash.
The final reason for buying an executive bookcase is you. Everyone needs a good environment to work in so as to improve productivity and increase efficiency. An executive bookcase will ensure you enjoy your office more and also ensures that you find books and other documents easily thus improving your efficiency. With so many excellent reasons, there is no doubt that you need to get your office an executive bookcase today.

Wow…that’s all I have to say…WOW! This was fantastic. I am understanding how you can be productive in this new world, and really do something of value. Wonderful Stuff! Keep them Coming!!!
Thanks for a genuinely excellent and an wonderful bit of information. Just 1 word. Awesome!!! and thanks for this gift of knowledge!
I would agree with that order for the most part.Great article. Thanks for sharing this informative post.
After working for various entrepreneurs, each of which were successful on various levels, I have witnessed some company’s spend wild amounts of money on expensive furniture as well as the opposite end of the spectrum – start up company’s with barely a shoe string budget. I think I understand the need for new company’s to avoid over spending on unnecessary items. Furniture is one of those things. You have to weigh the need to look successful with the need to save money.
Thank you for sharing this bit of information with us, I had never looked at bookshelves or cases in this manner before but now that you have pointed it out you are right you see them in executive offices all the time. I noticed in your picture that you also have them surrounding a fireplace, that is becoming more and more acceptable as well. Great blog I really enjoyed it.
I think it is important to have an executive bookcase because that is where you can display things that tell little about your personality and things that bring you comfort. I was informed once that your office is where you spend the majority of your life and it should feel comfortable that you should surround yourself with your stuff, bookcases or bookshelves is a good way to do that and keep your desk uncluttered.
I love the furniture and bookcases in that first picture, but what is that second picture? That seems very space age to me, the shape and colors of the chairs, very cool and the bookshelves are very modern and they are very colorful as well. I would love to see our company go to something like this for the offices but I’m afraid there are too many old fashioned executives to make that change.
Isn’t interesting that executives use their furniture as a status symbol isn’t it? The president of the company thinks he always has to have the biggest desk and the biggest conference table and so on. And your right that is how new employees and clients figure out who the top dogs are, I just find it very humorous is all. You did a great job pointing why you should buy a bookcase, thank you.
You did a great job on your blog. You put a lot of ideas and tips in there as to why you should buy a bookcase as an executive and what you should do with it. I’ve seen a lot of executive offices that didn’t have bookcases but it was because they were hardly ever in their offices anyway. I agree with your assessment totally and as a designer I’m hoping this will help business.
I have taken a lot of self improvement classes and improvement in the workplace classes and all of them tell you to make yourself comfortable in your work environment and to surround yourself with personal items. That is what the executive bookcases are for, they help you display your personal items and make you feel at home so that you can concentrate better. It sounds weird but it is true.
I’m an interior decorator and I love decorating peoples offices. When someone gets a new office or they want to remodel their old office they often don’t think about putting anything personal in the office, but when I go in and decorate for them I will find out their likes and dislikes so that I can pt things on their bookcases that reflect who they are and make it have a more homey feel.
I knew a lady once in a human resource position that had a glass cover over her desk top so she brought in a handmade quilt and put it between the glass and the wood top, if you don’t think you need personal stuff in your office, think again. You spend more time in your office then you do at home so you need to be comfortable at work. Bookcases help you with this aspect.
This was a great blog you did a fantastic job putting this all together and the pictures you included are wonderful, the way that they contrast each other really shows the wide spectrum that you have. There are so many things to decorate your office with you can really pick and choose what you want and you can really make it look great. Good job with this information you have some really great ideas.
Wow! It really doesn’t matter what your style is you can find here can’t you. You have some really great ideas and I am so glad that I ran across this blog before I remodeled my office. This blog and the previous one about outlet stores and cheap office furniture are really going to come in handy when I go shopping. Thank you so much for the information, I can’t wait to get started.
I can’t wait to redecorate my office now, before I found your blogs I couldn’t afford it now that I have the cheap furniture blog and the outlet store idea I think I can do this. Do they have these bookcases in those stores as well? You did an awesome job with your blog I look forward to seeing many more from you whether it is for offices or homes.
